The Challenge
As ODS Engineering continued to grow, it needed a dedicated workspace to bring its design team together, improve collaboration and support more efficient ways of working.
The required accommodation had to fit within a designated area at the company’s manufacturing premises.
Modular construction offered a practical way to deliver a new workspace quickly and with minimal disruption to ODS Engineering’s daily operations.
The Solution
We worked closely with the team at ODS Engineering to understand their requirements and identified Modulacc QuickSpace as the ideal solution to meet their needs. This solution offers modular space that can be designed, manufactured and installed quickly, while delivering flexibility in scale.
We manufactured the modules in one week, followed by a further week for on-site installation and fit-out. Modulacc QuickSpace’s multi-storey capability enabled us to meet the client’s needs within the site’s limited footprint.
The Result
We delivered a two-storey modular building with a total floor area of 116 m². The building provides a comfortable, functional and versatile space for ODS Engineering’s design team to do their best work.
The ground floor accommodates open-plan office space and welfare facilities, with a canteen and meeting room on the upper floor.
Air conditioning, additional soundproofing and a customised fascia in ODS’s brand colours complete the specification.
ODS Engineering used its in-house expertise to install an external covered staircase and walkway, completing the building’s access arrangements.
